Rabindranath Tagore Paragraph: Rabindranath Tagore was a versatile genius. He made great contributions in almost every field of art and literature. He was born on 7 May 1861 in Jorasanko, Kolkata. His father was Maharshi Debendranath Tagore and his mother was Sarada Debi. Rabindranath got no regular school education. Yet he gained deep knowledge in Bengali, English, and Sanskrit from private tutors. Rabindranath wrote many novels, short stories, essays, and dramas. He composed many songs and poems. His ‘Jana Gana Mana’ is the National Anthem of India. He was regarded as a great painter of his time. Some of his famous literary works are: ‘Ghare-Baire’, ‘Chokher Bali’, etc. For the ‘Gitanjali’ he got the Nobel Prize in literature in 1913. Rabindranath founded Visva Bharati, in Santiniketan. This great poet died on 7 August 1941 at the age of 80 years. But he is still alive in his creations.
Bengali Meaning( বাংলা মানে):
রবীন্দ্রনাথ ছিলেন বহুমুখী প্রতিভার অধিকারী। তিনি শিল্প এবং সাহিত্যের প্রায় সবকটি ক্ষেত্রে মহান অবদান রেখেছেন। তাঁর বাবা ছিলেন মহর্ষি দেবেন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুর এবং মা সারদা দেবী। রবীন্দ্রনাথ নিয়মিত কোনো স্কুলে শিক্ষালাভ করেননি। তবু তিনি তাঁর গৃহশিক্ষকদের কাছে থেকে বাংলা, ইংরেজি ও সংস্কৃতে গভীর জ্ঞান লাভ করেন। রবীন্দ্রনাথ অনেক উপন্যাস, ছোটোগল্প, প্রবন্ধ এবং নাটক লিখেছেন। তাঁর ‘জনগণমন’ ভারতের জাতীয় সংগীত। তিনি সমকালে বড়ো চিত্রশিল্পী হিসেবে গণ্য হতেন, তাঁর কিছু বিখ্যাত সাহিত্যকর্ম হল—– ঘরে বাইরে’, ‘চোখের বালি’ ইত্যাদি। ‘গীতাঞ্জলি’-র জন্য তিনি ১৯১৩-তে সাহিত্যে নোবেল পুরষ্কার পান। রবীন্দ্রনাথ শান্তিনিকেতনে বিশ্বভারতী প্রতিষ্ঠা করেন। এই মহান কবি ৮০ বছর বয়সে ৯ আগস্ট, ১৯৪১-এ পরলোকগমন করেন। কিন্তু তিনি এখনও তাঁর সৃষ্টির মধ্যে বেঁচে আছেন।
